Understanding and Resolving VPS License Block Issues

Certain control panel license providers, like cPanel, restrict the number of valid licenses per IP address.

a) How to check if your VPS IP is currently licensed ?

You can verify if your VPS’s IP already has a valid license by directly contacting the control panel provider.

• For cPanel, you can go to the cPanel and WHM License Verification documentation.

To verify your VPS license, navigate to the provider page, enter your VPS IP address, and click the “Verify License” button.

b) How to fix a blocked license ?

You have two options to choose from before activating a new license if you confirm your IP is licensed:

• It is advised to wait for licenses acquired from other providers to expire and not to update or extend them.
• Completely cancel your license with other providers.

Once the old license is inactive, the block on the new license will be lifted, allowing you to activate it.
