User Manager in cPanel: A Comprehensive Guide

The latest cPanel version introduces a User Manager section that allows users to control all accounts associated with their domain, including email or FTP accounts. Users can delete, edit, change passwords and delete accounts. The interface also allows for adding new users and securing their FTP and email accounts.

a) How to delete an account in User Manager

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Preferences section to select User Manager tool or search for the User Manager tool in the search bar.

2. Then, you can view all your accounts with colored icons. The inbox icon represents an email address, the truck icon represents FTP access and the disk icon represents webdisk access.

3. After that, find and select the account you want to delete and click on the Delete link button under Domain.

4. Finally, you will be asked to confirm. Click the Delete button to delete the user account.

b) How to edit an account in User Manager

1. First, select the account you want to edit from the User Manager.

2. Then, click the Edit link button or Change Password link button under the account.

3. After that, specify the full name of the user or provide an alternate email ID for that account.

4. In the Security Information section, you can enter the new password that you want to change for that account or leave it blank.

6. Finally, click the Save button to save your changes.

c) How to add a new user in the User Manager

1. First, click the Add User button on the right side of the User Manager interface.

2. Then, enter all necessary information in the fields such as username and password.

3. After that, select the services you want to offer to this specific user in the Services section. You can move the switch to enable or disable the service.

4. Finally, click the “Create” button and return to the User Manager interface or click “Create and Add Another” to create a user and add another one, and your new user is successfully created.
