Sucuri Protected Pages: A Guide to Activation and Setup

a) How do I enable protected pages in Sucuri Firewall Protection ?

1. First, log into Sucuri Firewall Protection and go to the Protected Pages settings.

2. Next, add the page you want to protect, like “/wp-login.php” or “/admin“.

3. Finally, select the desired authentication method and click on the “Protect Page” button.

Note:

  • The WAF will re-prompt the challenge after 30 days, except for the IP restriction option, once the user authenticates access.
  • Authentication is cookie-based, prompting a Protected Page challenge if accessed from different browsers or cleared cookies. You can force re-authentication by deleting and re-adding protected pages.
  • The password protection feature generates a random password, which cannot be customized, but you can request a new password at any time on the dashboard.
  • Adding your website’s root directory (/) to protected pages may disrupt the Let’s Encrypt SSL issuance and renewal process.
