Admin Guidelines: Setting Up Privacy Policy Consent for Submissions in Smarter Track

Administrators can link their company’s privacy policy to users’ tickets or live chats, requiring them to agree to provide their information. This default “Agree” text is added to the ticket or chat template, ensuring users can review the policy and provide their information. The consent text is only added to tickets submitted on the portal and company website.

a) How do I add privacy policy consent for ticket and live chat submissions ?

1. First, log into the Smarter Track management interface as an administrator.

2. Then, click on the Settings icon.

3. After that, click on “Brands” under the “Manager” heading to access a list of brands.

4. Next, select the desired brand and click on the Edit button, or double-click the brand name to open its settings in the content pane.

5. Then, click on the “Privacy Policy Options” tab.

6. After that, navigate to the “Ticket and Chat Privacy Policy URL” settings to add your privacy policy and terms of service URLs and select the enabled checkbox.

7. Next, click Save.

8. When a user submits a ticket or initiates a live chat, the bottom of the ticket and chat templates displays the line “I consent to providing the information above as per the Privacy Policy“.
