a) Can I update Plesk Onyx Preview to the RTM version ?

The feature allows for a seamless transition from one public preview to another and from the public preview to RTM.

b) I’ve been trying out Plesk Onynx for public review without having to host a live website on a server. Should I update to the RTM version and go into production ?

Plesk suggests installing a clean server using the RTM version.

c) How do I install multiple servers ?

Plesk Multi Server has been officially released and can be installed using the installation instructions. It is only compatible with Plesk Onyx 17.0 and 17.5, and cannot be installed on a Plesk Onyx 17.8 server or upgraded.

d) Will the license name be changed to include Onyx ?

There are two methods to modify the license name:

• The license name can be changed without conflicting with other license types, such as “Plesk 12 Web Host Edition” being renamed “Plesk Web Host Edition“.
• If the version number cannot be removed without conflicting with other license types, “Onyx” is added, such as “Plesk 12.x/Onyx“.

e) What new add-ons and features have been added in the new Plesk version ?

The Plesk Onyx platform now offers both paid and limited features:

• Plesk Multi-Server is available as an extension.
• Plesk Cgroups Manager is a standalone extension that requires an additional license, which can be purchased separately or as part of a hosting package.
• Remote Docker management is available as an extension.
• DNSSEC is available as an extension.
• Plesk Multi-Server is available as an extension.
