Organizing Your WordPress Pages: A Step-by-Step Tutorial

A WordPress page is the content that appears along the top navigation bar and contains static information such as contact information and about. They are not categorized and are accessible to visitors. WordPress uses hierarchical alignment for page alignment, allowing users to set the order of pages. The system can also sort pages by publication date or alphabetically.

a) How to arrange pages directly in the WordPress

1. Log in to WordPress and select “Pages” from the menu on the left side of the dashboard, then click the “All Pages” button and select any pages you want to reorder.

2. Then, navigate to the upper right corner of the dashboard and click on the “Screen Options” tab below your login to access tools. This will display the available tools.

3. After that, check the “Page Attributes” checkbox and change the number box under “Order” to adjust the position. The one with the smallest number comes first.

4. Finally, click the Update or Publish button on the page to save your changes.
