Optimizing Your VPS with CentOS Panel: A Comprehensive Guide

CentOS VPS is a virtual private server installed with the CentOS Linux distribution, an open-source operating system based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It is popular for its ease of use, openness, and reliability.

a) Suggestions

CentOS

1. To ensure smooth operation of CentOS, it is advisable to use a VPS with 2GB of RAM.

2. Enabling mod_security on CentOS is not advisable unless you are certain about your actions.

b) Login

Once your VPS is running with the CentOS panel, you can access your control panel via the following link:

  • http://your_vps_ip:2030
  • https://your_vps_ip:2031 (This will require you to accept an untrusted SSL certificate.)

The default login details are as follows:

  • Username: root
  • Password: your root password

c) Activate

Upon logging in, follow the installation guide to set up and activate your server.

  1. Replace your VPS IP with your server’s IP address.
