Migrating from Microsoft 365 to Smarter Mail: A Comprehensive Mailbox Guide

Migrating from Microsoft 365 (Office) is straightforward, but migrating from an Exchange server or Gmail mail service is more complex.

a) How do I migrate a mailbox from Microsoft 365 to Smarter Mail ?

1. First, log into Smarter Mail as a user.

2. Then, click the Settings icon.

3. After that, select “Connectivity” from the navigation pane.

4. Next, locate the “Mailbox Migration” card and click on the “Migrate” button to activate migration mode.

5. Then, select Microsoft Office 365 from the displayed list of services.

6. After that, Smarter Mail automatically pre-selects items for migration, but you can disable non-wanted items by enabling it to pre-fill certain information.

7. Next, Smarter Mail pre-configures the server address for your Microsoft 365 (Office) account, which should not be altered unless absolutely necessary.

8. Then, enter the desired full email address to sign in to Microsoft 365 as your username.

9. After that, enter your password.

10. To migrate to a new Smarter Mail account, you don’t need to enable “Delete existing Smarter Mail mailbox items.” Enabling this feature will overwrite existing information, including contacts and calendars. If disabled, the migrated data will be merged with existing account data.

11. Finally, click on the “Start” button to start the migration process.
