Google Docs Attachment Mastery: A Comprehensive Guide to Emailing Docs

Google Docs offers a feature that enables users to swiftly and effortlessly send a copy of their document to anyone with an email address.

a) How do I email a document directly from Google Docs ?

1. First, click File to select the email as an attachment.

2. Then, send the email from your logged-in Gmail account, where you can enter the recipient’s email address, create a subject line, and compose the message.

3. After that, click on the drop-down menu located in the lower left corner to select the file type of the attachment.

Note: Select the Don’t Attach checkbox to include the document in the body of the email instead of as an attachment, potentially assisting recipients who cannot open certain files.

4. Finally, click Send.

b) How do I integrate with Gmail ?

1. Google Docs does not display the generated email in your Gmail Sent Items and does not maintain a record of the email.

2. If the recipient responds to your email, their reply will appear in your Gmail in the same manner as a regular email.
