Personalizing Communication: A Guide to Custom Portal Messages in Smarter Track

The portal is the first point customers see when visiting a help desk, so it’s essential for organizations to customize their homepage to match messaging and branding. This can include changing the default color scheme or redesigning the interface using custom CSS. Custom messages can include welcome messages, upcoming features, product releases, additional resources, contact information, images, or videos.

a) How do I access the custom message area in Smarter Track ?

1. First, log into Smarter Track as an administrator.

2. Then, click on the Settings icon.

3. After that, select brands under the “Manage” heading in the navigation pane.

4. Next, select the desired brand and click the Edit button, or double-click it in the list to add a custom message to a brand.

5. Then, click on the Custom Messages tab.

6. After that, you have two main areas to edit:

  • Main Portal Announcement: The portal home page’s main area, displayed between navigation icons and the search portal area, features a powerful HTML editor for customization, allowing for the addition of links, images, and videos to the message area.
  • Additional Footer for the Portal: The portal homepage will feature a footer above the copyright area at the very bottom.

7. Finally, click on the “Save” button to save all your work.
