Enhancing Security: A Guide to cPanel IP Blocker

cPanel IP Blocker allows you to restrict access to websites from specific IP addresses, domain names or ranges, preventing users from accessing your site and allowing you to manually deny IP addresses using bandwidth or conducting malicious activities.

a) How to deny access to an IP address or domain in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Security section to select IP Blocker tool or search for the IP Blocker tool in the search bar.

2. Then, enter your IP address, domain name or range which can be used in the following format:

  • Single IP Address: 192.168.0.1
  • IP Address Range: 192.168.0.1–192.168.0.100 or 192.168.0.1–100
  • CIDR:  192.168.0.1/32
  • Wildcards: 192.168.*.*
  • Domain Name: google.com

3. Finally, click the Add button to block this IP address or range from accessing your website.

b) How to remove an IP from the Denied List in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Security section to select IP Blocker tool or search for the IP Blocker tool in the search bar.

2. Then, locate the desired IP address or range and click the Delete link button to remove blocked IP addresses in the Currently-Blocked IP Addresses section.

3. Finally, click on the Remove IP button to remove the IP from the block list and grant access to the site.
