How to setup email account in Microsoft Outlook
This guide teaches how to setup email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail) in Microsoft Outlook.
Yahoo
1. Go to Tools in Outlook Express
2. Click Accounts
3. Click Add then Mail
4. Type in your display name and click next
5. Type yahoo email address and click next
6. Choose pop3 as incoming server
7. Type “pop.mail.yahoo.com” as the Incoming Mail.
8. Type “smtp.mail.yahoo.com” in the Outgoing Mail.
9. Type in the Yahoo id in the Account name put yahoo id
10. Type in the Yahoo password in Password
11. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is left uncheck.
12. Click Next and Finish.
*Please note that this setting will only allow emails to be received. To send out, an upgrade to the Yahoo Mail Plus package is required.
Hotmail
1. Go to Tools in Outlook Express
2. Click Accounts
3. Click Add then Mail
4. Type in your display name and click next
5. Type Hotmail email address and click next
6. Choose pop3 as incoming server
7. Type ” pop3.live.com ” as the Incoming Mail.
8. Type ” smtp.live.com ” in the Outgoing Mail.
9. Type in the Hotmail id in the Account name put Hotmail id
10. Type in the Hotmail password in Password
11. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is left uncheck.
12. Click Next and Finish.
Gmail
1. Go to Tools in Outlook Express
2. Click Accounts
3. Click Add then Mail
4. Type in your display name and click next
5. Type Hotmail email address and click next

8. Type ” smtp.gmail.com” in the Outgoing Mail.
9. Type in the Gmail id in the Account name put Hotmail id
10. Type in the Gmail password in Password
11. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is left uncheck.
12. Click Next and Finish.
