Outlook Express 5.0 mail client

To setup your Outlook Express 5..0
to handle your new POP3 e-mail account, please follow
the instruction below : |

01 |
Select Tool > Accounts... to start the Options dialog box. |

Click button Add and select Mail... to start the Internet Connection Wizard. |
|

Enter Your Name in the display name field. This name will appear in the From field of the outgoing message. Type your name as it would you like to appear. Click Next > button. |

Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address field. For example You@Yourdomain.com. |

Click Next > button to fill out the to choose IMAP for My incoming mail server is a drop down menu. |

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server and Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with your domain name. If you domain name is yourdomain.com then fill in mail.yourdomain.com for both fields. |

As soon as the internet account window is close, a pop window will pop up to ask whether you want to download folders from your mail server. Click Yes to proceed. |

Next, you will proceed to the Show/Hide IMAPS Folders window, click OK and it will close. |

Please take note* Once the mail in this IMAP account is deleted in the Outlook Express, user's inbox, it will also be deleted in the mail server or any action perform in your IMAP account will be reflected to the server as the IMAP account is synchronize to the server. So it is important for the user to take this factor into consideration when managing their mail. |

Click the Send/Receive button the top toolbar window to send and receive incomming message. Click on the inbox to read on the email. |

IMAP : Internet Message Access Protocol (sometimes listed as Internet Mail Access
Protocol). A mail protocol that provides management of received messages on a
remote server. The user can review headers, create or delete folders/mailboxes
and messages, and search contents remotely without downloading. |
